Revisiting Social Sciences: Philosophical Foundations, Applications, and Emerging Challenges
In an era of rapid technological advancement, particularly with the growing integration of artificial intelligence in academic research, contemporary scholarship is increasingly shaped by the imperative to demonstrate immediate utility and practical impact. While the application of social scientific knowledge remains essential, disregarding its philosophical roots risks rendering the discipline fragmented, directionless, or even devoid of deeper meaning.
Similar to the two previous events at Thammasat University in 2023 and Naresuan University in 2024, this conference invites scholars to critically engage with the philosophical foundations of social inquiry while addressing contemporary challenges.
We welcome abstracts engaging with these themes, whether through theoretical reflections, methodological discussions, or applied case studies. (For a full rationale of the conference please check the comment section.)

The Abstract should not be longer than 300 words. We welcome both Thai and English abstracts. Please note that a Thai abstract needs to be accompanied by its English translation.

ทบทวนสังคมศาสตร์: ปรัชญา ปัญหา และการประยุกต์
ในยุคปัจจุบันที่เทคโนโลยีก้าวหน้าอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยเฉพาะการเติบโตของการใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในการวิจัย ทำให้วงการวิชาการถูกผลักดันให้สนใจประโยชน์ใช้สอยที่จับต้องได้และผลลัพธ์เฉพาะหน้าที่ชัดเจน มากกว่าการตั้งคำถามเชิงรากฐาน แม้ว่าการประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ทางสังคมศาสตร์จะยังเป็นสิ่งจำเป็น แต่การละเลยรากฐานทางปรัชญาก็อาจทำให้สังคมศาสตร์หลงลืมทิศทางที่ควรจะเป็น หรือแม้กระทั่งสูญเสียความหมายที่ลึกซึ้งไป
เช่นเดียวกับงานประชุมที่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ในปี 2566 และมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวรในปี 2567 การประชุมครั้งนี้เชิญชวนให้นักวิชาการร่วมกันขบคิดรากฐานทางปรัชญาของสังคมศาสตร์ควบคู่ไปกับความท้าทายร่วมสมัย
เราเปิดรับบทคัดย่อในหัวข้อที่เกี่ยวข้อง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบทวิเคราะห์เชิงทฤษฎี การอภิปรายด้านระเบียบวิธี หรือกรณีศึกษาเชิงประยุกต์ (สำหรับหลักการและเหตุผลฉบับเต็มสามารถดูได้ในส่วนของ comment ใต้โพสต์นี้)

การประชุมครั้งนี้เปิดรับ abstract ทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ โดย abstract ภาษาไทยควรจะส่งควบคู่มากับฉบับภาษาอังกฤษ และไม่ควรมีความยาวมากกว่า 300 คำ
