เมื่อวันที่ 24–25 กรกฎาคม 2568 คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี ร่วมกับ เครือข่ายปรัชญาสังคมศาสตร์ไทย (TNPOSS) ได้จัดการประชุมวิชาการระดับชาติ TNPOSS ครั้งที่ 3 ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ทบทวนสังคมศาสตร์: ปรัชญา ปัญหา และการประยุกต์” ณ โรงแรมยูเพลส มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี

On 24–25 July 2025, the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, in collaboration with the Thai Network for the Philosophy of the Social Sciences (TNPOSS), organized the 3rd TNPOSS Conference under the theme

“Revisiting Social Sciences: Philosophical Foundations, Applications, and Emerging Challenges”, held at U Place Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani University.

งานในปีนี้ได้รับความสนใจอย่างกว้างขวางจากนักวิชาการทั้งในและต่างประเทศ นักเรียน นักศึกษา รวมถึงผู้สนใจมาร่วมกัน “รื้อ-สร้าง-ร่วมคิด-ต่อยอด” ต่อบทบาทของสังคมศาสตร์ในโลกปัจจุบัน

This year’s conference attracted wide interest from scholars both in Thailand and abroad, as well as students and members of the public who came together to "deconstruct – reconstruct – rethink – and extend" the roles of the social sciences in today’s world.

Revisiting Social Sciences: Philosophical Foundations, Applications, and Emerging Challenges

In an era of rapid technological advancement, particularly with the growing integration of artificial intelligence in academic research, contemporary scholarship is increasingly shaped by the imperative to demonstrate immediate utility and practical impact. While the application of social scientific knowledge remains essential, disregarding its philosophical roots risks rendering the discipline fragmented, directionless, or even devoid of deeper meaning.

Similar to the two previous events at Thammasat University in 2023 and Naresuan University in 2024, this conference invites scholars to critically engage with the philosophical foundations of social inquiry while addressing contemporary challenges.

ทบทวนสังคมศาสตร์: ปรัชญา ปัญหา และการประยุกต์

ในยุคปัจจุบันที่เทคโนโลยีก้าวหน้าอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยเฉพาะการเติบโตของการใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในการวิจัย ทำให้วงการวิชาการถูกผลักดันให้สนใจประโยชน์ใช้สอยที่จับต้องได้และผลลัพธ์เฉพาะหน้าที่ชัดเจน มากกว่าการตั้งคำถามเชิงรากฐาน แม้ว่าการประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ทางสังคมศาสตร์จะยังเป็นสิ่งจำเป็น แต่การละเลยรากฐานทางปรัชญาก็อาจทำให้สังคมศาสตร์หลงลืมทิศทางที่ควรจะเป็น หรือแม้กระทั่งสูญเสียความหมายที่ลึกซึ้งไป

เช่นเดียวกับงานประชุมที่มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ในปี 2566 และมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวรในปี 2567 การประชุมครั้งนี้เชิญชวนให้นักวิชาการร่วมกันขบคิดรากฐานทางปรัชญาของสังคมศาสตร์ควบคู่ไปกับความท้าทายร่วมสมัย
