ดร.ฐิติพล ภักดีวานิช อาจารย์คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี ให้สัมภาษณ์วิเคราะห์สถานการณ์ความตึงเครียดระหว่าง ไทย–กัมพูชา กับ Prathik S Vinod แห่ง Firstpost สื่อจากประเทศอินเดีย โดยเน้นประเด็น ผลกระทบต่อประชาชนในพื้นที่ชายแดน, ความรุนแรงเชิงโครงสร้าง ที่กำลังก่อตัว และ บทบาทของชาตินิยม ที่เป็นแรงขับเคลื่อนความขัดแย้ง

ข้อพิพาทชายแดนที่ยืดเยื้อมากว่าศตวรรษได้ปะทุขึ้นอีกครั้ง ไม่เพียงส่งผลต่อความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐเท่านั้น แต่ยังส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อประชาชนที่อาศัยอยู่ตามแนวชายแดนของทั้งสองประเทศ

การปลุกกระแส ชาตินิยม ในทั้งไทยและกัมพูชา ทำให้ความขัดแย้งมีความซับซ้อนมากยิ่งขึ้น และเพิ่มความเสี่ยงต่อ ชีวิต ความเป็นอยู่ และความมั่นคง ของชุมชนชายแดนที่ได้รับผลกระทบโดยตรงจากสถานการณ์นี้

Dr. Titipol Phakdeewanich, a political scientist at the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, gave an interview to Prathik S Vinod of Firstpost, analysing the renewed tensions between Thailand and Cambodia. His discussion highlights the impact on border communities, the emergence of structural violence, and the role of nationalism in driving the conflict.

The century-long border dispute has flared up once again, affecting not only inter-state relations but also causing direct and significant consequences for people living along the border on both sides.

The rise of nationalist sentiments in both Thailand and Cambodia has further complicated the situation and increased the risks to the lives, livelihoods, and security of border communities directly affected by the ongoing tensions.
