15 July 2026 – The Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, welcomed the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the 8th TICA Roadshow, which was intended to introduce students to TICA's roles and responsibilities and highlighted opportunities for internships, capacity development, and participation in international cooperation programmes implemented by TICA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The partnership between TICA and Ubon Ratchathani University, particularly the Faculty of Political Science, has continued to grow through a range of international development initiatives, academic services, and capacity-building programmes. Most recently, the Faculty successfully organised the Annual International Training Course (AITC) entitled Empowering Communities for Inclusive Development through the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Lessons from Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and Community-Driven Development (CDD) in Thai Isan Villages, held from 1–15 May 2026 with the support of TICA. The programme brought together participants from around the world to exchange knowledge and learn from Thailand's experience in sustainable community development through field-based case studies in Northeast Thailand, while further strengthening international academic networks and enhancing the University's role in international cooperation.
