เมื่อวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2569 ดร.ฐิติพล ภักดีวานิช ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ศึกษาและประสานงานด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนภูมิภาค และ ผศ.ดร.ธนเชษฐ วิสัยจร หัวหน้าภาควิชาการเมืองและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี ให้การต้อนรับคณะนักวิชาการจาก สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน นำโดย ศาสตราจารย์ Gao Fei อธิการบดี China Foreign Affairs University พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจาก China Foreign Affairs University และ Beijing Foreign Studies University 

คณะนักวิชาการได้เดินทางมาเยือน คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี เพื่อร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการเกี่ยวกับ สถานการณ์ชายแดนไทย–กัมพูชาและผลกระทบต่อชุมชนในพื้นที่

การเยือนครั้งนี้ยังเป็นโอกาสในการหารือถึงความเป็นไปได้ในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่าง คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี China Foreign Affairs University และ Beijing Foreign Studies University โดยได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างสถาบันในประเทศไทย กัมพูชา และจีน ในการสนับสนุนการพูดคุยและความพยายามเพื่อลดความตึงเครียดที่เกิดจากข้อพิพาทชายแดน โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงและความเจริญของชุมชนในพื้นที่ภาคอีสานของไทยและชุมชนตามแนวชายแดนของกัมพูชา

นอกจากนี้ ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวยังคาดว่าจะช่วย ขยายโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในรูปแบบอื่น ๆ ระหว่างสถาบันทั้งสามแห่งในอนาคต

On 22 August 2026, Dr Titipol Phakdeewanich, Director of the Regional Center for Human Rights Study and Coordination, and Asst. Prof. Dr Thanachate Wisaijorn, Head of the Department of Politics and International Relations, Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, welcomed an academic delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Professor Gao Fei, President of China Foreign Affairs University, together with representatives from China Foreign Affairs University and Beijing Foreign Studies University.

The delegation visited the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, to participate in an academic exchange on the Thai–Cambodian border situation and its implications for local communities.

The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss potential academic collaboration between the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, China Foreign Affairs University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University. The discussions considered how academic cooperation among institutions in Thailand, Cambodia, and China could contribute to dialogue and efforts to mitigate tensions arising from the border dispute, with particular attention to enhancing security and prosperity for local communities in Thailand’s Isan provinces and border communities in Cambodia.

The proposed collaboration is also expected to expand opportunities for student exchange programmes and other forms of academic cooperation between the institutions.
