หารือแนวทางความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาชุมชนกับผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย
เมื่อวันที่ 31 มกราคม 2569 ดร.ศิริพร จันทนสกุลวงศ์ คณบดีคณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี และ ดร.ฐิติพล ภักดีวานิช คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี เข้าร่วมการประชุมหารือกับ Counsellor Zhao Mengtao และ Mr Zhou Xuezhou เลขานุการโท (Second Secretary) สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย โดยมี รศ.ดร.ภาวิกา ศรีรัตนบัลล์ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันเอเชียศึกษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม ณ สถาบันเอเชียศึกษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย กรุงเทพมหานคร การประชุมครั้งนี้มุ่งหารือและสำรวจโอกาสในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือด้านโครงการพัฒนาเพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของชุมชนท้องถิ่นในประเทศไทย อนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง และเอเชียกลาง โดยให้ความสำคัญกับพื้นที่ที่มีความเชื่อมโยงภายใต้ข้อริเริ่มหนึ่งแถบหนึ่งเส้นทาง (Belt and Road Initiative: BRI) ของประธานาธิบดีสี จิ้นผิง ซึ่งมุ่งส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงระดับภูมิภาค ความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ และการพัฒนา การหารือให้ความสำคัญเป็นพิเศษกับการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนและบทบาทของเยาวชนในการขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่นและระดับภูมิภาค โดยมุ่งสร้างโอกาสสำหรับการมีส่วนร่วมอย่างมีความหมาย ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของชุมชนท้องถิ่นในการรับมือกับความท้าทายด้านความมั่นคงรูปแบบใหม่ โดยเฉพาะในพื้นที่ชายแดนของประเทศไทย อาทิ การค้ามนุษย์ อาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ และการหลอกลวงทางออนไลน์
การประชุมครั้งนี้ยังเป็นโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองและสำรวจแนวทางความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันในอนาคต เพื่อเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้และความเชี่ยวชาญทางวิชาการเข้ากับการทำงานร่วมกับชุมชน และสนับสนุนการพัฒนาที่สอดคล้องกับบริบทและความท้าทายที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่นและระดับภูมิภาค
Exploring Potential Collaboration on Community Development with Representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok
On 31 January 2026, Dr Siriporn Jantanasakulwong, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, and Dr Titipol Phakdeewanich of the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, attended a meeting with Counsellor Zhao Mengtao and Mr Zhou Xuezhou, Second Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok. The meeting was hosted by Associate Professor Dr Pavika Sriratanaban, Executive Director of the Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, at the Institute of Asian Studies in Bangkok. The meeting explored opportunities for collaboration on development projects aimed at strengthening the capacity of local communities in Thailand, the Mekong subregion and Central Asia. Particular attention was given to areas connected through President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which seeks to enhance regional connectivity, economic cooperation and development. The discussion placed particular emphasis on community engagement and the role of young people in contributing to local and regional development. It focused on creating opportunities for meaningful participation and strengthening the capacity of local communities to respond to emerging non-traditional security challenges, particularly in Thailand’s border areas, including human trafficking, transnational crime and online scams.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore potential areas of institutional collaboration, with a view to connecting academic expertise with community engagement and supporting development that responds to changing local and regional contexts and challenges.
